This involved a complete reinterpretation of what a musical instrument could offer in terms of playability, tactility and sound along with the premium, reliable and performance expected by A-list musicians.

The prototype shown above represents the first integrated, single octave unit of ROLI’s novel pressure sensitive technology. In addition to the overall mechanical engineering of the product and components, I was responsible for creation of several of these one-octave kits, which were distributed to select top-talent artists so that they could tangibly grasp the opportunities afforded by this never before experienced instrument.
