As Lead Engineer I was responsible for designing and overseeing integration of touch-technology, industrial design, mechanical & electronics engineering as well as producing rapid iteration of hardware interface design based on feedback from musicians.
An exciting interaction offered with the Seaboard BLOCK is the ability to dynamically click and configure multiple units in any orientation. This led to the patented electromechanical “DNA” connector (shown in detail above), which is shared across all ROLI products within the BLOCKS system.
