The IDEO team set out to create beautiful, emotional experiences by layering technology onto Swarovski’s lighting offerings. Whether it’s setting the tone for a sophisticated retail experience, creating subtle ambiance at a romantic dinner for two, or providing true quality light to read a book, the team considered how a chandelier can enrich personal moments throughout the day.

As a Product Designer my role on the project was to collaborate with Industrial and Interaction Designers to rapidly bring our shared vision for the product to life. This entailed employing my broad skillset in mechanical, electrical, and embedded software making techniques while providing strategic direction for our clients surrounding the opportunities afforded by dynamic lighting and what it means in the context of the Swarovski brand.
